"Everybody is a fan of Architecture, without even knowing it!".  Here at Novedge we are big fans of the Architizer+ Awardsand yes, we do think they are the Oscars of Architecture.

So we would like to congratulate some of our favorite Architecture Firms that happened to win and Architizer+ Award in 2015.

Here they are in alphabetical order:

3XN Architects

Jan Ammundsen - 3XN - 07_072_Blaa_Planet_103_HBecause the shape of the building itself tells the story of what awaits inside, we think The Blue Planet is literally our favorite literal Museum! Well done Jan Ammundsen!

Belzberg Architetcs

Christopher Arntzen - Belzberg Architects - 04 Backyard 01We interviewed Christopher Arntzen, project manager at Belzberg Architecture for the Novedge Blog. Belzberg won not one but two Architizer+ Awards. Their project for the Gores Group Headquarters cleaned up both in the Commercial Buildings and in the Office Space category. Check it out !

Bohlin Cywinski Jackson

Bohlin Cywinski Jackson did it again! They designed yet another iconic Apple Storefor the franchise and got rewarded with an Architizer+ Award in the Retail Space nominees.Greg Mottola - Newport Beach Civic Center and Park 3 Nic LehouxBohlin Cywinski Jackson's Newport Beach Civic Center. Image courtesy of Nic Lehoux.

Their work is truly outstanding and we have a sample of it in our interview with Bohlin Cywinski Jackson' s own Architect Greg Mottola, and in this conversation with them during our Google Hangout on Air about the future of Workplace Design. Enjoy!

EDG Interior Architecture and Design

EDG's  Edible Garden at AT&T  Park (home of the Giants), will be the first functional garden in a Major League Baseball venue. Their Architizer+ Award in the Stadium/Arena section proves their commitment to high value Design, particularly in hospitality projects. In this Novedge Blog interview with  EDG Interior Architecture and Design  it is clear how well they take care of their clients. Jason Dries-Daffner - EDG Architecture-HYLB_1

Gensler

Gensler's Designfor San Francisco International Airport's renovated Terminal 3 Boarding Area E, allows passengers to view  exquisite art, change clothes in private dressing rooms, stretch out in the Yoga Room, or let their children unwind in an interactive play area. I am already a fan. Check out some of their other projects featured in this guest blog post by Gensler's Design Director Dominique Price.Dolores_Park_Playground_BlogImage by Nelson Minar

Jürgen Mayer H

He is Berlin's Starchitect. No doubt about that! Jürgen Mayer H takes an Architezer+ Awards for the Court Housein Hasselt, Belgium in the Government & Municipal Buildings and Police & Fire Stations category. His work speaks for itself. See what I mean in this interview with Jürgen Mayer H  on the Novedge Blog.J. Mayer H. - JMH_SBC_18_Jesko-Johnsson-Zahn

Snøhetta

As if often happens Architecture Firms partner up and everybody benefits from a great partnership. Snøhetta and Clark Nexsenget equal credits in the completion of the James B. Hunt Jr. Library. Whereas I never got a chance to interview anybody from Clark Nexsen (yet), I did get close and personal with Craig Dykers form Snøhetta here.  Snøhetta- 2012195_OS_N76_publication

We would like to congratulate all the winners of the Architectural+ Awards 2015. Not just the ones we got a chance to interview. Because you don't have to be featured on the Novedge Blog to win…..but it sure helps a lot! (Just email me at barbara@novedge.com)

We are 100% behind Architizer idea and philosophy to get Architects actual commissions. Well done everybody, get ready for the Red Carpet!
